On the 10th March 1966 in the Blue Bell Hotel, Lockerbie the first ever official Directors meeting of the newly formed South of Scotland Ice Rink Limited took place.

Lockerbie Ice Rink's purposes are in relation to sport, and primarily, the sports of Curling and Skating.
